LMR makes Rising 25 list

PRINCE GEORGE, VA – A company known for providing fast and efficient logistics support to military and government agencies was recently recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the Metropolitan Richmond (Va.) area. For the fourth straight year, Logistics Management Resources, Inc. (LMR) was named to the Rising 25, an annual list of the fastest-growing companies in the Richmond area. LMR placed sixth overall out of the 60 companies that were nominated for consideration.

The Rising 25 is sponsored by KPMG, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. “It is a significant accomplishment to repeat and to repeat four times is even more significant,” said Linda Tucker, the Rising 25 Program Director.

To be eligible for the Rising 25, a company must be privately held, headquartered in the Richmond area and operate for profit. They also must have at least a five-year sales history with more than $200,000 sales in 1999 and an increase in revenue from 2002 to 2003. Comparing the revenue from the 1999 base year with 2003, LMR’s growth was measured at 357.27 percent, Ms. Tucker said.

LMR (www.lmr-inc.com) is one of just nine companies to make the Rising 25 list for the past two years and one of just two companies to make the list for the past four years. Accepting the award for LMR at the 15th annual celebration in January were David Weisman, President/Chief Executive Officer and Joel McGrady, Chief Operations Officer.

An employee and veteran-owned small business, LMR provides innovative logistics support and information technology services to military and government agencies with satellite offices in 22 states and Puerto Rico.
