Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Safety, Safety Management, or Industrial Safety; or a professional certification in Safety thru Public Law, OSHA; or an equivalent Military degree.
Experience RequiredFive years general experience in management, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work in providing safety programs, guidance, and oversight of safety programs in support of specified logistical missions (i.e. Maintenance, Supply, Transportation). Previous experience with Army Maintenance, Supply and/or Transportation is a requirement. b. Five years specialized experience in development, implementation, and management of a Safety program encompassing the following: (i) Understanding of program planning, data collection and analysis, of a safety program. (ii) Broad knowledge of applying safety programs relating to a variety of logistical functions (i.e. Maintenance Supply, and Transportation).
Descriptiona Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others. b. Skill in written and oral presentations. c. Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources without a reduction in the quality of work. d. Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress. e. Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions.
